    Assembly

Lay both panels so that the shoulder straps line up at the top. Using a mattress stitch attach the front and back panels together across the top of the shoulders.

Assembling the crochet tank top pattern - step 1

Line up sides of panels so the vertical lines of the sc and hdc sts are lined up on front and back. Secure with stitch markers or clips to hold in place.

Using a tape measure, measure from the top of the shoulder strap down 6 (6.25, 6.5, 7, 7.25) (7.5, 8, 8.5, 8.75)” / 16 (16, 16.5, 17.5, 18.5) (19, 20, 21.5, 22) cm and pm to mark bottom of armhole. Remove any markers between this marker and the top of shoulder.  Armhole depth can be adjusted to your desired fit.

Assembling the crochet tank top pattern - step 2

Seam side panel from bottom edge to the armhole marker. Fasten off and leave a long tail. Repeat for second side. Before weaving in ends, try on piece and make sure you like the fit of the armholes. If top is comfortable, weave in ends. (Reminder, blocking your garment will give a little extra room).

    Finishing the Armhole

Attach yarn in the seam at the base of the armhole with a sl st. ch 1, sc around, sl st to first sc to join. Fasten off. Rep for second sleeve.

Assembling the crochet tank top pattern - step 3

    Bottom Edge

To create a split hem, we will work a few rows across the bottom edge of both the front panel and the back panel.

Attach yarn in first st at edge of front panel with a sl st.

    Row 1: Ch1, hdc across. (69 (77, 85, 95, 103) (111, 119, 129, 137) sts)

    Row 2: Rep Row 1

Rep Row 2 to desired length. Fasten off.

Rep for back panel. If desired, you can make the back panel slightly longer than the front panel.

Weave in all ends and block, and enjoy your beautiful top!
