About the Crochet Striped Bulky scarf

Stripe Chunky Scarf Free Crochet Pattern

The weather has been exceptionally cold here in the Midwest this week, and it doesn't look like it will be warming up anytime soon. With the wind-chill below zero and the actual temperature not much better, staying inside to snuggle with my yarn is a must! On the rare occasions I have to leave the house, I want to be sure I'm bundled up and warm. This oversized bulky striped scarf is the perfect winter project to keep my neck and upper body warm against that bitter cold wind. Using chunky, bulky yarn in a quick, easy crochet pattern, this simple project features classic vertical stripes in two colors or more, making it a stylish yet practical choice. Whether you're a beginner or just looking for a stash buster for your leftover yarn, this scarf is a must-have for men and women alike, with tassels adding a fun touch. Can you imagine a better way to stay cozy?

How to crochet a bulky scarf for beginners?

It's easy to learn how to crochet a bulky scarf with this free crochet pattern for beginners! For this scarf I used Charisma Yarn by Loops and Threads, but any Bulky 5 weight yarn will work. One of my favorite things about making with bulky yarn is how fast it works up. You can whip up a few of these crochet accessories in no time! As well as bulky yarn, you'll need a 10mm crochet hook and a sewing needle to start making your quick and easy striped scarf. Have fun experimenting with different color combinations and varying the distance of the stripes for a one of a kind scarf. This red and white one is one of my favorites and is perfect for Valentines Day!
